Our energy and utilities client is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Carmel, IN.
Title: Project Planner/Project Manager
Location: Carmel, IN – 4 days/week
Duration: 1 year long contract with extensions, potential conversion to permanent
Pay Rate: $40-72/hr DOE, potential flex
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4-5+ years of experience as a PM
- Specific experience within one or more of the following: project management, transmission design/planning/operations/maintenance/construction, generation planning, contract management, or regulatory processes.
- Energy industry experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of technical and financial concepts.
- Project management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO operations and regulatory functions
- Knowledge of NERC and FERC compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables across all study phases.
- Facilitate information flow from application to Generator Interconnection Agreement negotiation.
- Compile and present project status reports to management.
- Monitor study cycle execution and coordinate with Transmission Owners and external entities.
- Respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries to maintain strong relationships.
- Support resource planning and management for internal and external project needs.
- Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
- Apply sound judgment to solve problems and make timely recommendations.
- Adhere to all applicable standards and regulations, including SOC 1, NERC CIP, NIST, FERC, and MISO Tariff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Overview:
Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager to support one of our customers in Carmel, IN. This individual will manage Generator Interconnection projects and support engineering analysis, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory alignment.
They will collaborate with the client and cross functional teams, Transmission Owners, Interconnection Customers, and neighboring entities to resolve issues and support project progress.. Lastly, they will track project milestones to maintain Tariff compliance and timely execution.
