Founded in 2012, The Illuminate Group delivers specialized expertise to its customers through passive packaging design and engineering, product testing and logistics services. As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Finance Director to collaborate with the company's founders to drive strategy and create a strong infrastructure to enable the company to scale. Position Overview The Finance Director will play a critical management role overseeing FP&A, Treasury, Controllership, and Financial Reporting. This individual will be responsible for enhancing and optimizing the company's financial infrastructure to support growth and operational efficiency to provide better data for decision making and addressing risks and opportunities. While the initial focus will be on finance, there may be project management that relates to overseeing outsourced HR, IT, and Legal functions by leveraging a strong support structure already in place at the sponsor. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy Develop and execute a financial strategy and related budget aligned with business objectives and long-term growth Oversee and refine FP&A, Treasury, and Controllership functions Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to the CEO, COO and leadership team Ensure strong cash flow management, KPI reporting, and financial forecasting Scaling & Operational Impact Improve and streamline existing financial processes, systems, and reporting structures to support scalability Enhance financial planning systems to drive efficiencies and support data-driven decision-making Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to create financial projections for new projects/customer opportunities Future Growth & Cross-Functional Leadership As the company scales, take on additional responsibilities related to HR, IT, Legal, and Business Operations Build and mentor a high-performing finance team as the function expands Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture within the organization Required Qualifications Progressive finance leadership experience Strong expertise in FP&A and Financial Reporting and comfort working with or in Controllership and Treasury functions Experience and enjoyment working in high-growth environments Demonstrated ability to work individually as well collaboratively and cross-functionally Possesses intellectual curiosity, a desire to understand the business, and wants to proactively identify areas to support the team and drive value creation Exceptional communication and project management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders Nice to Haves Private equity-backed portfolio company experience Experience with ERP implementation and financial systems optimization MBA Why Join Us?
