Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care Hospital (SLP) Location:

Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements General: Provide evaluation and treatment of speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders across infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics in an acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities include patient/family education, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and documentation. May float within scope to meet facility needs. Requirements & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience required (first-time travelers not accepted) Travel experience required Certifications: BLS and state license required; ACLS, FEES, LSVT, SLP-CF preferred Skills & Competencies:

Work settings: acute care, adult/pediatric outpatient, rehab, SNF, schools Pediatric experience: autism, developmental delays, fluency, TBI, language/hearing impairments Adult experience: CVA, dysphagia, dysarthria, TBI, fluency, hearing impairments Dysphagia management: bedside swallow, compensatory strategies, FEES, modified barium swallow studies Evaluation tools: ALPS, BIMS (for SNF), non-evaluative screening tools Use of adaptive equipment and alternative communication devices

Charting system: Any required; Epic preferred Ratios: 1:5 daily census (4-5 patients per day) Must be flexible; on-call as scheduled
