Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our manufacturing client in searching for a
Buyer Assistant
in
East Longmeadow MA.
This is a contract role expected to last between 4 to 6 months, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have prior experience assisting the Purchasing team in expediting material and following up with vendors among other general buying tasks.
Salary: $30-$35 per hour
Schedule: Onsite, Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm
Responsibilities Track and monitor material shipments and deliveries Follow up with vendors Assist with planning and scheduling of materials Support purchasing activities, including export and import functions Work closely with Buying/Purchasing, Planning, and Production areas to ensure timely material flow
Requirements Proven experience in a manufacturing environment assisting buyers, planners and operations teams in ensuring material is expedited and available on a timely basis Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Familiarity with purchasing, export, and import processes is a plus. SAP experience is preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data collection and analysis effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
