Primary Responsibilities The position involves collaborating with clients and leading teams and projects in the HDR San Francisco Health or Education and Science "Ed-Sci" Studio. Projects include hospitals, clinics, research facilities, and other related structures across health, research, and biopharma sectors, covering areas like public health, life sciences, physical sciences, and biocontainment.
As a Project Manager , you will:
Coordinate work of Project Architects and manage multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.
Participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
Review projects with governing agencies for code compliance.
Facilitate design sessions during all project phases with clients and teams.
Manage staffing workload to meet project schedules.
Track financial aspects and adjust work efforts to stay within budgets and schedules.
Coordinate with the Regional Controller and Managing Principal for project reviews.
Facilitate quality meetings with the Quality Management Coordinator.
Represent project management in marketing activities.
Enhance client relations through excellent project delivery.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Health and/or Education and Science projects preferred.
Interest in sustainable design/LEED is a plus.
PMP certification.
Minimum of 10 years in Architecture & Design industry.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field.
At least 7 years of related experience.
Minimum of 2 years project management experience.
Strong organizational, communication, and team interaction skills.
