THE ROLE:
As a UX Designer, you will work in a team to apply UX in MTI's user-centered research, analysis, design, and development process. You will work independently under the supervision of a Sr. Designer and as part of a team as you lead tasks, support junior engineers, and create highly effective solutions, including digital products, physical products, and work systems.
YOUR DUTIES
- Contribute to user-centered research and usability testing.
- Contribute to the creation of user flows, wireframes, visual styles, interaction design, UI components, etc.
- Apply user-centered design processes to evaluate existing systems and contribute to new designs.
- Effectively communicate design processes and findings to team members and stakeholders.
- Apply tools and standards such as the System Usability Scale (SUS), UI style guides, etc.
- Support the analysis of user interaction data to inform design decisions.
- Create and maintain design mockups and prototypes.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback to others and positively receiving feedback on your own work.
- Foster a collaborative and user-centric approach within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather user requirements and understand design needs.
YOUR SKILLS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a UX/HFE environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively and positively as part of a high-performing team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate rationale, findings, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Desire to advance expertise in UX and human-centered design.
- Technical proficiency in user research and design methodologies
$80,000 - $110,000 a year
