Summary: The Surgical Technician II is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care. High School or Equivalent and completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program and 1 year surgical technician experience OR High School or Equivalent and completion of a military or hospital based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience. Required Skills also includes Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up. Preferred: NBSTSA or NCCT.
