X-Ray Runner – Olympia Orthopaedic Associates Location: Olympia, WA Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.66 - $23.11 per hour (Pay is determined based on years of experience) Summary of benefits: OOA covers part or all of the cost for Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-term Disability Insurance. Employees are eligible to participate in a 401k plan with company matching. Flex spending plans, uniform allowances, and an Employee Assistance Program available as well. New, full-time staff will accrue a minimum of 17 days of paid time off per year.

X-Ray Runner Job Duties: Guides patients to and from their exam room to the X-ray department.

This may include pushing a patient in a wheelchair or assisting an unsteady patient with your arm.

Prepares patients for their X-ray by checking their clothing to ensure there is no metal artifact or clothing artifact on the images. Relays patient paperwork from the patient to the X-ray Tech completing the scan. Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock necessary supplies as needed in the rooms (i.e. pillow cases, cleaning supplies). Sets up the exam room for the correct exam. Tracks inventory items and reports to X-ray Lead when supplies need to be ordered. Critical to the workflow of the X-ray department to assist in keeping clinics on time by efficiently and safely transporting patients. Communicate and assist X-ray Tech on weight/height of patient in order to adjust the equipment prior to the patient being seen. May assist in positioning of patient or equipment. Other duties as assigned.

X-Ray Runner Job Requirements: One year of experience in a medical office setting, preferred. High school diploma or GED.
