- Patient Ratios: 1:04
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, stroke
- RNs required to titrate drips: Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift Does the charge nurse take an assignment: Yes
- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit Ratios Duties: Yes- 1:10
- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot: CPAP
- Weekend Requirements: Every other
- Holiday Requirements: 1 major, 1 minor
- Floating Requirements: Will float to ICU if appropriate and has experience
- Additional Notes: Fast paced unit with many admits and discharges. Attributes that help make a nurse successful in this department are a positive attitude, teamwork, patient oriented, and comes to work to care for someone
