REPORTS TO:
Clinical Director/Clinical Supervisor DESCRIPTION: The primary clinician is responsible for the delivery of assessments/intakes, group facilitation, maintaining a caseload, discharge planning for substance use disorder treatment and related services to adults with drug/alcohol problems. DESCRIPTION, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY: Clinical assessments, treatment, case management, consultation, referral and education according to the individual's professional discipline. Services shall be provided in accordance with the established BSAS and Joint Commission Standards as well as within the scope of practice of the individual. Conduct psychosocial evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling to individuals, groups and families as needed to facilitate. Provides diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and completes necessary updates as required. Provides individual, family, and group service appropriate to client needs. Provide emergency services during work hours and after hours as assigned. Attend staff meetings; participate in clinical supervision, and other activities, which ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations. Maintains positive relationships with referral sources and aftercare providers. Coordinates with Red Ribbon's staff and other community providers in providing joint treatment as reflected in the treatment plan. Prepares needed reports of treatment as requested. Develops ongoing treatment plans through case staffing with the treatment team and interaction with assigned clients caseloads. Maintain case records to reflect the course of treatment and provide required documentation. Provides aftercare planning, coordinates with clients around all services. Provides consultation and education service to individual and community groups as requested and possible. Participates in agency program development activities Attends staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities, which ensures smooth functioning of Red Ribbon Recovery's operations. Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director or the Executive Director Qualifications: • Have or eligible for a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, counseling or equivalent social services field • Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
LMHC, LMFT or CDAC II required • Attend regular professional education classes/workshops to continuously upgrade job skills or promote the image of the agency Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Ability to experience and express empathy Ability to be non-judgmental and accepting Ability to be flexible and adapt to change High level of self-awareness Multicultural competency
