Locums Cardiac Anesthesiology Job - Omaha, Nebraska(IMLC Accepted TEE Certified Fellowship Required) CLINICAL ROLE:
  • Locums coverage needed
  • Setting: Academic center
  • Facility Size: 187-bed Level I Trauma Center
  • ORs: 15 main ORs, 3 endoscopy suites, EP lab, TEE, IR, OB, MRI Lines
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric only (No pediatrics)
  • EMR: EPIC
  • FTE: 1.0
  • Reason for Coverage: Current locums cancelled
SCHEDULE / AVAILABILITY:
  • Initial Dates: November 22 - November 30
  • Ongoing Coverage: Yes
  • Hours:
  • Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts
  • Unrestricted overnight and weekend call
CREDENTIALING & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology: Required
  • Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesiology: Required
  • TEE Certification: Required
  • Board Certified in Transesophageal Echo: Required
  • License: Nebraska license highly preferred or IMLC accepted
  • Will consider candidates needing to obtain a license (if in time)
CLINICAL VOLUME & DUTIES:
  • Cardiac Surgical Cases Per Year: 360-450
  • Cardiac Surgeons on Staff: 2
  • Hands-On Cases: Yes
  • May supervise CRNAs occasionally
  • Required Procedures: Cardiac anesthesia procedures, TEE, general anesthesia (full list not provided)
