Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide in-house OB Hospitalist coverage for labor and delivery
- Manage urgent gynecologic surgeries as needed
- Work collaboratively with 1-2 certified nurse midwives per shift
- Deliver patients at 32+ weeks gestation; high-risk deliveries are transferred to tertiary care
- Oversee approximately 300 deliveries per year
- Collaborate with 24/7 available anesthesia team
- Ensure timely, high-quality care during assigned shifts
Additional Information
- Must have active Indiana medical license
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
- Locum can work up to 48 hours per shift
