Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage respiratory cases including pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, asthma, and COVID-19
- Treat cardiac conditions such as CHF, atrial fibrillation, chest pain, and non-STEMI
- Address infectious diseases: sepsis, cellulitis, UTIs, bacteremia
- Care for gastrointestinal issues: GI bleeds, pancreatitis, liver disease, bowel obstruction
- Treat endocrine and metabolic disorders including DKA, severe hyper/hypoglycemia, and thyroid issues
- Manage renal conditions: acute kidney injury and electrolyte imbalances
- Oversee neurologic cases: stroke, TIA, delirium, seizure management
- Provide post-operative care for surgical complications, infection, and pain control
- Handle general medicine cases: falls, anemia, dehydration, failure to thrive
- Deliver palliative and end-of-life care, including symptom management and family discussions
Additional Information
- Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Board certification in Hospital Medicine required
- Please specify procedural capabilities and comfort level
