Coverage & Schedule Coverage: 12/4 (5 PM) - 12/8 (7 AM) with ongoing availability when permanent doctor is not workingDuration: Ongoing until further noticeShift times: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AMFTE: 1.0 (open to multiple surgeons sharing schedule)
Setting & DutiesSetting: Primarily inpatient surgical coverage for ED and referred elective casesDuties: Cardiovascular surgical coverage, full scope CV surgeryPatients per day: 10-15Support staff: Typical clinic and hospital resourcesWorksite resources: Typical clinic and hospital resourcesReason for coverage: Separation with current employed surgeon
Program DetailsAnnual heart surgeries: 100 possibleCase proficiency: Candidate volume reviewed case by case, should meet requirements to maintain licensure and board statusVein harvesting: Surgeon should be able to harvest own veins; hospital may provide PA depending on volume
