This healthcare facility is a Level 3 trauma center with a Level 2 pediatrics designation, offering comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services. The facility features a 6-bed department with strong support for cardiothoracic surgical procedures and advanced care capabilities.

Job Details:
• Coverage needed for September 5 at 1700 - September 8 at 0700 and September 12 at 1700 - September 22 at 0700
• Weekday scheduled hours are 8am-5pm with evening beeper call
• 24-hour call on weekends
• Patient volume varies per shift
• Perform general cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, both open and endoscopic
• Conduct coronary artery bypass surgeries (on pump and off pump)
• Handle congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.)
• Perform valvular repair and replacement procedures
• Manage aneurysm repairs (cardiac and aorto-thoracic)
• Conduct lung resection including VATs
• Perform chest wall or pleural procedures
• Handle esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
• Place permanent pacemakers and AICD devices
• Experience with left ventricular assist devices
• Perform TAVR and CABG procedures
• Provide ventilator management
• Conduct bronchoscopy procedures
• Evaluate and manage acute volume/BP issues
• Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABPs
• Perform general vascular surgery (open and endovascular)
• Conduct aneurysm repair (aorto-abdominal)
• Handle bypass procedures (aorto-femoral/iliac and fem-pop)
• Perform endarterectomy procedures (carotid and renal)
• Conduct subclavian steal procedures
• Must have ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Active Ohio license required (emergent credentialing timeframe 1-5 days)
Compensation:
