Position: Physician Assistant - Urgent Care

Location: Trenton, New Jersey Area

Schedule: 3-4 Shifts/Week - Overtime Eligible About the Opportunity

A highly respected and well-established urgent care organization in Mercer County, New Jersey is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join its growing team. This is a permanent role in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, offering the chance to practice in a traditional urgent care setting that values clinical quality, efficiency, and work-life balance.

This position is ideal for providers who are comfortable working independently while still having access to physician support. With a steady patient flow of around 40 patients per day, this role offers a dynamic environment and competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage urgent and non-emergent medical conditions across all age groups

  • Perform urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, and incision & drainage

  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests

  • Prescribe medications and arrange appropriate follow-up care

  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care

  • Document patient encounters accurately

  • Collaborate with remote physician medical director and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes

Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted New Jersey Physician Assistant license

  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine

  • Skilled in urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, etc.)

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently

  • Comfortable seeing patients of all ages
