As a Scientist at TrilliumBiO, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of diagnostic assays that advance clinical and rare disease testing. You will collaborate across teams to ensure scientific rigor, regulatory compliance, and the successful launch of innovative testing solutions.

Conduct research, develop, design, and execute experiments to support feasibility research and product development Support the design and execution of verification and validation plans for new assays and analytical methods under the guidance of senior leadership. Compile, analyze, and interpret scientific and statistical data using appropriate software Prepare and presents analysis/findings and issues/solutions to peer groups, manager and/or clients Troubleshoot and optimize experiments, communicate issues and solutions to senior management Assist in preparing technical documentation, including validation reports and SOPs. Collaborate the operational team to support assay transfers, staff training, and implementation into routine operations. Communicate regularly with research and development team to align on priorities, troubleshoot challenges, and propose solutions. Identify and escalate quality issues, contributing to recommendations or corrective actions. Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Stay up to date with advancements in the field and share relevant insights with colleagues. Follow all laboratory protocols, SOPs, and company policies; contribute to drafting and refining documents as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to additional projects to support company goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED SKILLS: Ph.D. in chemistry/biochemistry or life sciences Strong scientific and analytical background Experience in BSL2 environment required (10+ years) Experience in Assay and Method Development is required under industry environment (5+ years) Hands-on experience with a range of immunology, molecular, and analytical laboratory platforms and instrumentation Experience in analyzing complex scientific data Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities; strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent judgment, cognitive skills, innovative thinking, and problem-solving abilities; ability to react to situations with a sense of urgency and responsibility Strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels (verbally and in writing), both internally and externally Positive teamwork-based attitude, a champion for our people, values, culture, company, and brand Strong ability to be creative, collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated in the execution and completion of assigned tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
