Job Title: Buyer Location: Highland Park, IL Salary: $70,000-$80,000

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Buyer to join our client's organization in the Highland Park, IL area.

A fast-growing, family-owned global wine and spirits company is seeking a motivated Buyer to join its operations team in Highland Park, IL. This organization partners with world-class producers to develop best-in-class brands distributed in over 100 countries. The Buyer will play a key role in maintaining a large, diverse inventory and supporting the company’s continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities: Manage purchasing based on bi-annual forecasting and distribution schedules Maintain detailed inventory reporting and analysis, ensuring up-to-date levels, inbound status, and pricing Make recommendations for continued production, withdrawals, or additions to the assortment based on inventory movements and sales feedback Source and communicate with factories locally and internationally for new and existing products, consistently challenging pricing while maintaining quality and production standards Ensure alignment and completeness of item catalog across internal documentation, ERP system, and warehouses Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience in a buying or planning-related role Experience negotiating with and managing suppliers, including international partners (Asia preferred) Proficiency in inventory and purchase order management; ERP software experience (NetSuite a plus) Strong attention to detail and advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables) Excellent oral and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field Benefits: Medical insurance (multiple Blue Cross Blue Shield plan options, including HSA with employer contributions) Dental and vision insurance Employer HSA contributions (up to $1,000 individual / $2,000 family per year) Life and AD&D insurance (1x salary, up to $200,000) Short-term disability coverage Voluntary life and AD&D insurance options Paid time off: 10 holidays, 1 floating holiday, and 10 days PTO (pro-rated first year) Paid sick leave where applicable by state law.
