The DAS Principal Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, design, deployment, and optimization of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and in-building wireless solutions to ensure high-quality coverage and capacity for voice and data services. This role requires deep technical expertise in telecom (LTE, 5G, VoLTE, IMS) along with strong leadership and project management skills to drive end-to-end DAS program delivery.
Key Responsibilities Lead the
end-to-end lifecycle
of DAS and small-cell projects, from requirement gathering, RF design, implementation, and integration to testing and acceptance. Oversee the
RF design and coverage planning
, including iBwave or similar tools for in-building solutions. Collaborate with operators, OEMs, system integrators, and vendors to ensure project execution meets technical and business objectives. Manage cross-functional teams for deployment, commissioning, and optimization of DAS networks in enterprise, stadiums, airports, and large venue environments. Ensure
regulatory compliance
and adherence to telecom standards (3GPP, FCC/DoT, local regulations). Drive
innovation and strategy
for in-building wireless technologies including 5G NR, CBRS, private networks, and Open RAN-based solutions. Conduct
performance audits
and recommend enhancements to improve KPIs such as coverage, throughput, call setup success rate, and data experience. Provide
technical leadership
and mentorship to engineering teams. Manage budgets, vendor contracts, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication, or related field (Master’s preferred). 12–15 years of experience
in telecom networks with at least 6–8 years in DAS / in-building wireless leadership roles. Strong knowledge of
LTE, 5G, VoLTE/IMS, Wi-Fi offload
, and small cell architectures. Hands-on experience with
RF design tools
(e.g., iBwave, Atoll). Proven expertise in
DAS OEM solutions
(CommScope, Corning, ADRF, JMA, SOLiD, etc.). Experience with
operator acceptance testing
and optimization KPIs. Strong
project management
and stakeholder engagement skills (PMP/PRINCE2 is a plus).
Preferred Skills Exposure to
private 5G and neutral host solutions
. Familiarity with
cloud-native architecture, Open RAN
, and automation in network deployment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with customer-facing experience.
