Sr. Manager Silicon Design Engineering
to plan, direct, and coordinate semiconductor engineering activities. Provide technical and managerial direction to projects in ASIC development. Direct the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Develop and maintain specifications and provide planning resources and tool requirements. Evaluate final results of research and development projects to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives. Prepare and present reports outlining the future of technical projects and make recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Manage and lead a Command Processor (CP) block Design Verification (DV) team responsible for block verification architecture, testbench implementation, test plan, test writing, test debug, coverage review and verification sign-off, across multiple phases of the Graphics Core design used by AMD GPUs, APUs, and Semicustom devices. Serve as a technical leader across project or department boundaries to develop ASIC/layout design and address issues impacting design, future concepts, products, or technologies. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Utilize expertise in computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to resolve critical design matters. Education : Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Alternate combinations of education and experience are acceptable: Five (5) years of experience in the offered role or related engineering role, or Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in the offered role or related engineering role. Specific skills : The following skills are required (five (5) years of experience): Performing hardware verification Logic and circuit design Performing IP and SOC verification ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis) Front-End EDA tools Unix or Linux environments Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, or UVM Scripting in C, C++, TCL, Perl, or Python CPU architecture, data structures, or x86-64 architecture GNU toolchain Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
