THE OPPORTUNITY:
Seeking a
Senior Project Architect
to join the Chicago-based team and take on significant leadership responsibilities across diverse, high-profile projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design Leadership & Technical Excellence Lead architectural design development from concept through construction administration on large-scale, complex projects including high-rise multifamily residential, mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, and hospitality projects Collaborate with partners and principals to develop innovative design solutions that embody bold clarity and technical precision Oversee technical coordination and integration of building systems, ensuring optimal performance and constructability Drive sustainable design strategies and environmental responsibility initiatives Management & Client Relations Manage multiple concurrent projects Build and maintaining strong relationships while translating client requirements into exceptional architectural solutions Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, and international partners Lead project teams, providing mentorship and technical guidance Leadership Create productive relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to enhance competitive positioning Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations on high-profile domestic and international projects Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and industry participation QUALIFICATIONS: Required Experience & Education 15+ years of progressive experience in architectural practice with demonstrated project leadership on complex, large-scale projects Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program Professional registration required; LEED AP preferred Proven track record managing projects ranging from 100,000SF to 2+ million SF Technical Expertise Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard software platforms Deep understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction delivery methods Experience with integrated project delivery and design-build project approaches Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED certification processes Leadership & Communication Skills Exceptional project management abilities with experience leading multidisciplinary teams Strong client-facing skills with ability to present complex design concepts effectively Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility pertaining to fees, scope and schedule Experience mentoring and developing architectural talent Collaborative approach with proven ability to work in matrix organizational structures Specialized Experience (Preferred) Mixed-use and high-rise multifamily residential project experience highly valued International project experience, particularly in Asian /Middle East markets Experience with complex urban development projects This position provides exceptional professional growth opportunities including leadership roles on internationally significant projects and a clear pathway for advancement to principal and partner levels, with comprehensive support for continued education, conference participation, and professional development alongside exposure to cutting-edge design technologies and methodologies.
