Overview Summary: The Director of Talent Management is a strategic leader responsible for driving VSE’s global talent strategy across Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development. As part of the HR Leadership Team, this role ensures the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent to fuel business success worldwide. Partnering with leaders across the company, the Director sets the vision for recruiting, builds leadership capabilities, and strengthens workforce performance and culture.

Develop and implement enterprise-wide talent management strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business performance. Design and lead initiatives to strengthen organizational effectiveness, enhance leadership capabilities, and foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and high performance. Oversee succession planning, talent reviews, leadership development, and team effectiveness programs to build a strong leadership pipeline and ensure organizational resilience. Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to executives and senior leaders on organizational design, learning, and talent acquisition strategies. Strengthen the global employer brand through targeted recruitment campaigns, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership. Leverage talent acquisition technologies, AI tools, and analytics to enhance sourcing, selection, and workforce planning capabilities. Lead full-cycle recruitment across all employee levels, including executive, professional, entry-level, university, and military hiring. Define and execute a scalable, enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy that supports long-term workforce planning and strengthens the organization’s competitive position in the talent market. Manage and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team, providing clear direction, professional development opportunities, and performance accountability. Continuously improve recruitment processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency, reduce time-to-hire, and ensure an excellent candidate experience while maintaining compliance. Monitor and report on recruitment performance using data-driven metrics and insights to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact to senior leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related discipline or equivalent years of experience. 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition & Learning & Development with 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Organization design and development experience through acquisition and/or divestiture. Demonstrated effective communication skills with different employee levels, to include hourly employees, front-line supervisors, and all levels of leadership including the executive team. Demonstrated experience creating and streamlining processes. Understands and can explain the metrics/benchmarks that indicate success in talent management disciplines. Experience supporting over 200+ open requisitions in a dispersed multi-state, global environment that includes blue collar technical and non-technical job roles. Able to report to office environment for a minimum of three days a week, with flexibility to work full time in office as business needs dictate. This position requires up to 20% travel on an annual basis. Must be able to pass background and drug screening. Preferred Requirements

Master's degree in business administration, human resources, or related discipline. Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development experience in a public company environment with audit and SOX compliance requirements. 12+ years of experience in a specialized human resources position and 6 years in a supervisory capacity.
