Overview Pennebaker, a leading Houston-based strategic branding agency, is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing who lives and breathes digital strategy, analytics, metrics, and performance. This role requires someone who is detail-obsessed, thrives at connecting strategy with execution, and can confidently guide both clients and internal teams through the evolving digital landscape. This is a director-level role. The right candidate will work closely with account management and design to guide decisions, shape campaigns through data insights, manage social media, and ensure flawless execution across the digital ecosystems.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to shape client marketing strategy and goals. Develop, plan, implement, and manage multi-channel digital campaigns (SEM/PPC, Display, Video, social platforms, and email). Own social media management: plan, schedule, and execute campaigns across B2B-focused platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.), monitor engagement, and report on performance. Translate analytics into actionable insights that inform creative and design decisions. Monitor campaign performance, optimize targeting and bids, and identify opportunities for expansion and testing. Conduct SEO and keyword research, provide insights to the creative/content team, and manage ongoing SEO improvements. Build and maintain HubSpot integrations, MQL workflows, and CRM process management. Assist in client website content management, including SEO configuration and plugin/form setup. Maintain business listings across Google, review sites, and social platforms. Present campaign performance and strategic recommendations to internal teams and clients with clarity and confidence. 4+ years of hands-on experience in SEM, PPC, and digital campaign management. Certified in Google Ads and Google Analytics (GA4). Deep understanding of the digital ecosystem: Hubspot, paid, social, SEO, CRM, and web. Strong experience measuring and reporting metrics to evaluate marketing effectiveness. Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Obsessive attention to detail with a proven track record of accurate campaign execution and QA. Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate data into business objectives. Demonstrated success in social media management for B2B or complex organizations.
