An award-winning hospitality group with locations in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles, is seeking a Senior General Manager to lead operations across two properties. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant management, including team development, guest experience, financial performance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with multi-unit management experience, strong business acumen, and a deep passion for hospitality and cultural storytelling through food.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor FOH and BOH leadership teams across both restaurants.
Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
Set clear goals, accountability systems, and development paths for team growth.
Champion a guest-first philosophy and serve as a hands-on leader in service.
Oversee daily operations to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
Collaborate with chefs, GMs, and beverage directors to maintain and elevate service and culinary standards.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and operational troubleshooting as needed.
Be present during peak service to support smooth operations and elevate the guest experience.
Monitor and analyze guest feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure financial health across both locations by managing budgets, costs, and revenue targets.
Review and analyze key metrics, including labor, food, and beverage costs.
Conduct weekly business reviews and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Partner with ownership on strategic initiatives to enhance brand and profitability.
Uphold and embody the brand identity and mission.
Collaborate on marketing, promotions, and community engagement efforts.
Serve as a public-facing representative and cultivate relationships in the local dining community.
Support brand-aligned events and partnerships that reflect our values and vision.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations.
Conduct regular audits of cleanliness, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Implement and uphold HR policies and lead conflict resolution efforts when needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of senior leadership experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants (Michelin, James Beard, or comparable accolades preferred).
Proven success in managing multi-unit or large-scale restaurant operations.
Expertise in team leadership, training, and talent retention.
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
Deep commitment to guest service and hands-on problem-solving.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in restaurant systems (POS, scheduling, inventory, CRM).
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Benefits
Competitive base salary; $115k-$140k+
Bonus potential; 10-15% based on KPI's
