Learn more at www.stanley1913.com. Position Overview Seeking a creative Senior Innovation Designer to join our team, working with designers, engineers, and strategists to identify new opportunities. Members of the Innovation Team handle all creative aspects from research to user-centric craft advocacy. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Design Innovation and will be based in Seattle, WA, required to work in a hybrid work environment. This hybrid role requires working out of our Seattle headquarters 2-3 days in the office per week. What You'll Do
Champion detailed, strategic design thinking principles and processes to identify outstanding opportunities for product, brand, and business innovation. Rapidly and creatively think through, ideate, and visualize solutions to innovation opportunities. Collaborate with a diverse creative team to tackle problems from various perspectives. Engage in both open-ended and focused research activities to identify actionable consumer insights through macro and micro cultural trends. Present findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the broader organization, including to the Global Leadership Team. Represent and promote a culture of creativity and design while embodying what we value. Who You Are
8+ years of experience as a practicing designer with a focus on Industrial Design. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or another relevant design field. Portfolio examples of current, relevant work that demonstrate expert-level innovative idea generation across multiple product categories through thoughtful, critical thinking and process. Keen understanding and foresight of future consumer and cultural trends. Remarkable visual and verbal storytelling skills, particularly in rapid concept sketching and storyboarding. Experience in web, UX/UI, and/or video is a plus. Expertise in 3D CAD (Rhino or SolidWorks preferred), rendering software (KeyShot preferred), and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with generative AI tools like Vizcom or MidJourney is also a plus. Comfort passing ideas on to other designers for final execution. Passion for collaborating and communicating with a diverse range of backgrounds, professions, and personalities. Continually seeking out new sources of creative inspiration and information. Market and consumer research experience is a plus. Creative agency or consultancy experience is a plus. Salary
Range: $120,000 - $150,000 USD Stanley is committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
