We are seeking an experienced Advanced Analytics Analyst to join our Business Banking Analytics team within the Enterprise Analytics & Customer Experience (EACX) Department. This role blends descriptive statistics, data science, data visualization, advanced analytics, statistical analysis and data engineering to deliver insightful analysis and support strategic initiatives for our business partners in product, marketing and sales.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in descriptive statistics, data analysis, data visualization, data science and data engineering, with expertise in partnering with business partners, plus strong strategic analysis and effective communication.
This candidate will be comfortable identifying and sourcing new data sources, extracting, manipulating and analyzing data, leveraging data science concepts, developing effective visualizations and dashboards, extracting actionable insights, and partnering with the business to translate insights into recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Descriptive Statistics & Data Analysis: Use descriptive statistics to summarize and interpret business banking data, providing clear insights into trends, patterns, anomalies and opportunities.
Perform in-depth data analysis to support various business functions, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
Advanced Statistics & Data Science: Apply advanced statistical methods and data science techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning, to uncover trends and drive data‑driven decision making.
Develop and implement data science models to predict customer behavior, develop business rules and identify opportunities.
Dashboard & Reporting Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present key metrics and insights to stakeholders; ensure dashboards are user-friendly and aligned with business needs.
Data Engineering: Identify, source and manipulate new data sources and metrics; build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for high-quality data availability; collaborate with data engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and resolve data quality issues.
Strategic Analysis: Conduct strategic analyses to evaluate business performance, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic planning; provide actionable recommendations to guide business strategies and improve operational efficiency.
Problem Solving: Address complex business problems with innovative analytical approaches; work cross-functionally to define analytical requirements, develop solutions and implement strategies.
Strategic Mindset: Develop understanding of business banking dynamics and market trends to contribute to strategic initiatives and drive business transformation; partner with product, marketing, strategic partners, customer experience and various business units to translate problems into analytics and actionable recommendations.
Presentation & Communication: Communicate complex data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and reports; develop visuals that clearly articulate the value of insights and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
Five to seven years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Financial services experience
Strong data querying skills using SQL and SAS
Proficiency in descriptive and advanced statistical analysis; capable of extracting, manipulating and analyzing large complex datasets
Expertise in dashboard and report development using Tableau or Power BI
Ability to understand and leverage data science and machine learning concepts
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, with a track record of translating data into actionable insights
Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate analytics into business insights and opportunities
Strong presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences
Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguity
Organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple projects
Certification in business analytics, data mining, data science or statistical analysis
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics or Data Science

NOTE: The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule with in-office expectation of 3+ days per week and the option to work remotely for other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on location. Actual range may differ by location. Salary: $105,400.00 – $124,000.00 plus eligible benefits.
