ICU Registered Nurse - Contract Position

Schedule

Candidates must work through the holiday season, with shifts from 7a-7p/7p-7a. This includes 3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holiday rotations.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and manage multiple priorities effectively while fostering a spirit of teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the ICU, ensuring safety and promoting dignity and well-being.
• Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and their families.
• Assess patient needs and interpret data to provide age-specific care across the life span, from pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire, and CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records preferred.
