Job Description Industrial Facilities Custodial Specialist Step into a steady role at a well-established manufacturing facility in the northern suburbs. As our Industrial Facilities Custodial Specialist, you’ll keep the office and shared plant spaces clean, safe, and orderly—so the team can focus on doing their best work. A day in the life You’ll start your day reviewing the cleaning schedule and stocking carts. From there, you’ll rotate through offices, locker rooms, training rooms, and break areas—sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to a consistent standard. Restrooms get your detailed attention: sanitizing toilets, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers. You’ll keep breakrooms and kitchens guest-ready by wiping down tables and chairs, cleaning counters and appliances, and making sure trash is removed and liners are replaced throughout the building. Between rounds, you’ll restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap. On select days, you’ll jump into deeper cleans for high-traffic areas. What you’ll handle
Sweep, mop, and vacuum in offices, locker rooms, and training rooms Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, dispensers) Maintain
breakrooms/kitchens
(tables, chairs, counters, appliances) Empty trash and change liners building-wide Restock paper products and soap dispensers Assist with periodic deep cleaning of breakrooms and common spaces What you bring
High School Diploma or GED (You should be proficient in: High School / GED) 6+ months of janitorial or commercial cleaning experience Strong reliability, punctuality, and references Comfort working independently and following a set schedule Ability to perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs, bend, mop, carry trash) Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus Why you’ll want this job
