Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns. The Zebrafish Lab within Investigational Toxicology and Pathology is dedicated to advancing screening assays that connect in vitro and mammalian in vivo studies, while also pioneering innovative methodologies to address current gaps in toxicity assessment. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in zebrafish handling, histological techniques, and data acquisition and analysis. The lab is focused on enhancing established assays by implementing novel data acquisition and analysis methods, with the aim of increasing assay throughput and identifying additional metrics that improve screening efficiency and assay sensitivity. Key Responsibilities Include: Assist with the breeding and handling of zebrafish specimens for various experiments. Support data collection and analytical processes using established assays and potentially help in the development of new methodologies Contribute to the implementation of innovative data acquisition or analysis methods aimed at improving assay throughput and sensitivity This is an on-site only opportunity Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor degree in a STEM related field Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027 Preferred Qualifications Prior experience handling zebrafish Experience with high-content imaging modalities or familiarity with machine learning base image analysis Wet lab experience

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the timeof this posting based on the job grade for this position.
