What you’ll be doing

As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you’ll grow your career with a team focused on unlocking your potential and achieving sales success in one of our retail stores. Responsibilities include:

• Generate retail sales by using a passion for technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers’ needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solutions to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
• Close sales by communicating effectively to fulfill customer needs with simple, intuitive tech solutions.
• Continuously develop through ongoing training and up-skill in merchandising and inventory operations.
• Grow your customer base by outbound calls and texts to current Verizon customers interested in our products and services.
• Engage with the community outside the store at Verizon-sponsored events to expand your loyal customer base.

We’re hiring immediately. This isn’t a typical entry-level retail position. You can earn $16.00 to $21.00 per hour in base pay, plus up to $16,000 a year in individual-based commissions if you hit all sales goals. Top performers may earn additional commissions, potentially totaling $65,000 to $73,500+ annually. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to have:

• High school diploma or GED
• One or more years of relevant experience (work experience and/or military experience)
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance)
• Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during summer months, November-December, and peak vacation periods

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience in a commission-based environment
• Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions
• Customer service experience
