Overview
Data Visualization Analyst/Developer responsible for developing dashboards and reports using Power BI to meet customer business needs. Works with cross-discipline teams to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources, including big data. Applies methods, processes, and systems to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate datasets and models complex business problems. Familiar with Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing. Identifies meaningful insights and communicates findings and recommendations. May develop information tools, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance. Maintains awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop electronic dashboards and reports using Power BI to meet customer business needs.
- Consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources, including big data.
- Design and develop methods, processes, and systems for data cleansing, integration, and evaluation of datasets and models.
- Apply disciplines such as NLP, ML, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure connectivity between databases and systems.
- Identify meaningful insights and interpret findings to inform recommendations.
- Develop information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance.
- Maintain awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
- BS with 4 years of relevant experience or MS with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a focus on Power BI.
- High proficiency in editing, graphic design, visual presentation, multimedia, and web support using modern software.
- Proactive, flexible, team-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and follow-up abilities.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Experience developing software systems and programs using Power BI, Python or PHP for enhancements and new systems/products.
- Experience with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) for system development.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to drive productivity and connectivity in the Federal Government; experience deploying ML models with AI data cloud.
- FAA Facility, Service Area, or Headquarters managerial or support experience.
