Overview

Fleet Data Analyst role at Xcel Energy. Gathers, creates, standardizes, reports, analyzes, and interprets workforce, financial, and/or operational data. Prepares insightful data-driven presentations for executive leaders to support decision making and planning. Supports projects ranging from department process improvements to enterprise-wide initiatives within the fleet organization.

Essential Responsibilities

• Compiles metrics from multiple systems across Human Resources, Finance, and Operations. Creates models to analyze and project data outcomes and evaluate alternative futures. Measures data outcomes using benchmarking, trend analysis, and operational insights.
• Models complex business problems and discovers insights using statistical methods, data mining, and visualization techniques. Communicates results clearly to provide strategic direction to management.
• Develops visualizations that are precise and easy to interpret. Presents results and consults with HR, business leaders, and external stakeholders to share insights and proposed actions.
• Standardizes and documents processes; implements changes to improve processes, organization, and technology solutions. Provides design, testing, operational, and analytical support for the data warehouse and other HR systems. Continuously learns and adapts to new analytics tools or technologies.
• Participates in enterprise project teams, providing metrics, analytics, and recommendations.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, or related HR field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• Two years of data and analytics or related experience.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
• SQL or other relational database experience preferred.
• Experience with multiple systems and reporting tools.
• Ability to summarize and present complex data clearly; strong problem-solving, collaboration, and partnership skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Compensation: The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $62,500 to $88,766 per year.
