Job Summary: Flex Security Officer (Evening Shifts – Thurs–Sun)
Location: Primarily Seattle, occasional shifts in Kent
Schedule: Evening shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
We are currently seeking a reliable, professional Flex Security Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates who are available evenings Thursday through Sunday, with flexibility to cover a range of shifts at various sites — primarily in Seattle, with some locations in Kent.
You Will:
- Provide a strong and visible security presence on private property
- Stand post and conduct routine patrols to deter unauthorized activity
- Interact professionally with the public, clients, and visitors
- Write clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports
- Follow site-specific protocols and respond to incidents promptly
This is a part-time, flex position with the potential for full-time opportunities once proficiency and reliability in the field are demonstrated.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong security presence by standing post and conducting routine patrols to deter trespassing, theft, or other unauthorized activities
- Monitor and protect client properties (commercial, residential, or event spaces) in accordance with site-specific post orders
- Interact professionally with the public, clients, and visitors—providing directions, answering basic questions, and de-escalating situations when necessary
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or incidents to the appropriate parties in a timely and accurate manner
- Write detailed, professional reports documenting daily activity, incidents, or unusual occurrences during the shift
- Follow all site-specific procedures and emergency protocols, including access control, visitor logs, and property checks
- Remain alert and attentive during all shifts, with the ability to stand for long periods in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Ensure a neat, professional appearance at all times in uniform, as you will represent both the client and the company
- Be flexible and available to work evening shifts Thursday through Sunday, with the ability to cover multiple locations (primarily Seattle, some in Kent)
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and other security personnel via phone, radio, or written updates
Qualifications
- Valid and Current Washington State Security Guard License (or in the process of obtaining one)
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license — must be able to travel between multiple job sites (Seattle and Kent)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with the public and write clear incident reports
- Well-groomed and professional appearance, as the role involves frequent public interaction and client-facing responsibilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions during evening shifts
- Prior security experience preferred, but not required
Compensation
$22 - $26 hourly
