Overview
Qualys is seeking a product marketing manager for our lead product line Vulnerability Management, Detection and Response (VMDR). The ideal candidate will have complete GTM ownership of the VMDR product line and be responsible for the GTM success of the product line. You will gain a deep understanding of the market, industry, and competitors, guide product strategy, craft clear, defensible, and monetizable messaging and positioning, and arm sales with tools to win.
You will work closely with team members to align product roadmap plans, marketing plans, and sales plays with customer needs within the market space.
What You Will Be Doing
- Product GTM ownership: VMDR product line; continuously think about how to grow revenue, win customers, and activate the market including new avenues for monetization.
- Business ownership and responsibilities: be the GTM Owner of VMDR and drive campaigns to generate and convert pipeline, support monetization strategies.
- Pipeline and Lead Generation: develop campaign ideas to generate leads and execute plans to convert pipeline to close.
- Thought leadership: create content such as white papers, webinars, emails, and presentations.
- Messaging quality: craft imaginative, defensible, clear, and monetizable messaging.
- Competitive research: analyze the landscape, position VMDR, and educate the sales team on competitor strategies.
- Pricing and Packaging: evaluate monetization options including freemium, premium, and packaging with other Qualys products to drive adoption and revenue growth.
- Product-led growth / Product-led sales: drive PLG/PLS motions with innovative digital marketing and demand campaigns to build and convert leads into paid customers.
- Sales enablement: develop collateral such as customer presentations, decks, and demo scripts.
- Customer feedback: foster relationships to gather insights and translate them into product requirements with the PM team.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, or engineering; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on security products and solutions.
- Proven experience launching security products and understanding the security industry, with passion for working with customers and sales.
- Proven development of external-facing and enablement collateral.
- Proven track record of use case demo creation.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Exhibitable sales and marketing experience in the form of technical documentation and/or speakership appearances.
- Passionate about trying new ideas to promote the product, testing hypotheses, and making data-driven decisions to course-correct.
- Ability to articulate and showcase technology for different use cases to different types of audiences within the federal space.
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $145,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, relevant experience, and work location. This range reflects base salary and does not include incentive compensation or potential equity grants. A comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package is offered.
