A Day in the Life as a Mechanic

As a Mechanic, you inspect, maintain, and repair or adjust parts on equipment, tools, trucks, and vehicles. To meet regulatory agency and company policies, you perform and schedule all fleet repairs and maintenance with proper documentation. You order spare parts and keep your inventory organized to ensure you have what you need when you need it. As necessary, you recommend purchases of new equipment or outsourcing of repairs. Safety is a priority, and you follow proper precautions in protective equipment and procedures. You are hands-on, flexible, and quick to respond when called to handle any issue. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years old
• 2+ years of experience as a mechanic OR equivalent education
• Drug-free workplace
• Must meet requirements of all state and federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive possessor
• Experience with hydraulics and/or automotive electrical systems is preferred, but not required
