We are seeking a Cleaning and Restoration Technician to assist in delivering cleaning and restoration services, retain customers through timely and effective service, and uphold company standards.

Job Summary

Assist in retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of cleaning and restoration services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
  • Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills with the ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
  • Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
  • 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (e.g., Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.).
  • Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
  • Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) — Preferred but not required.
  • Opportunities to advance into: Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD), Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS), Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT).

Responsibilities

  • Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers. (Opportunities exist to earn IICRC and State of Texas certifications and experience quickly).
  • Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Inspect completed work.
  • Complete the technician’s daily log.
  • Complete Work Orders.
  • Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
  • Maintain inventory of related supplies.
  • Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
  • Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.

Compensation

The starting pay is $20 to $24 hourly, depending on experience. There are opportunities for bonuses and merit increases as the company grows. Compensation levels reflect experience and certifications in water mitigation, mold, trauma scenes, and asbestos. Commissions and bonuses are possible on top of the hourly rate.
