The Role We’re looking for a strong, talented Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Proofpoint Email Security Product Marketing team. You will drive the go-to-market strategy for the Proofpoint Threat Protection solution and partner with product management, marketing, and sales to develop and execute GTM plans, create high-impact assets, and enable the field to drive business growth. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, a strategic thinker, and proficient at balancing pushback with hands-on execution.

Positioning and Messaging: Be the expert on buyers, understand how they buy and their criteria. Craft messaging that differentiates Proofpoint’s offerings and communicates business value to target audiences.

Content Creation: Develop messaging and content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, datasheets, presentations, etc.) that highlight differentiated value.

Presentation and Thought Leadership: Deliver content to internal and external audiences, train sales, brief customers, participate in webinars, industry events, and analyst briefings.

Domain Expert: Research market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape; translate insights into sales enablement and product messaging.

Launch Execution: Lead cross-functional teams in planning and launching new capabilities and updates to drive demand and awareness.

Sales Enablement: Create and deliver enablement content and tools for direct and indirect sales channels.

Dynamic Collaboration: Align with product management, marketing, competitive intelligence, and sales; act as a bridge between technical teams and customers.

Customer Advocacy: Use customer success stories to strengthen messaging and demonstrate impact.

Your Experience

8+ years in product marketing, with a preference for email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT experience.

BS/BA required; MBA a plus.

Proven ability to market to enterprise and technical buyers with concise messaging.

Strong content creation skills and ability to tailor materials to target audiences.

Strategic Go-to-Market thinking and analytical, yet hands-on, capable of managing multiple priorities.

Proven leadership and collaboration skills to inspire and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Ability to articulate value propositions at product and solution levels; strong storytelling and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to wide audiences.

High energy and enthusiasm; willing to travel 10-15% (domestic and international).

This role can be in a Proofpoint office, hybrid, or remote.

Base Pay Ranges (illustrative; actual offer may vary):

SF Bay Area, NYC Metro: 161,625.00 - 237,050.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area) to DC Metro & others: 132,225.00 - 193,930.00 USD

All other cities and states: 120,525.00 - 176,770.00 USD
