Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced 3 doctor small animal practice with a near-by outpatient clinic. Plum Creek offers many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Wellness and Preventive Care, Illness and Urgent Care, Surgery, Endoscopy, Acupuncture, Dentistry, Cold Therapy Laser, In-House Diagnostics, Digital full body and dental radiology, Ultrasonography, Boarding, Grooming, and more. We are proud to be a 25-year AAHA-Certified hospital. Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center is just east of Crete, Illinois near the Indiana border with our outpatient clinic just 7.8 miles away in Dyer, Indiana. Our limited-service outpatient clinic provides doctors and staff the ability to enjoy variety while the records and clients are shared between locations. The proximity to both Chicago and Northwest Indiana allows for easy commute to shopping and recreation. Lake County public schools are excellent, and there are several private schools nearby as well making it an ideal area to raise a family! Popular activities in the area include hiking and cross-country skiing in the many forest preserves, visiting the beaches along Lake Michigan, visiting the many museums and other attractions within an easy commute.

Veterinary Kennel Technician & Licensed Groomer We are seeking a skilled
Veterinary Kennel Technician & Licensed Groomer
to join our veterinary clinic team. This unique role combines hands-on patient care with professional grooming services, offering an opportunity to contribute to both the medical and aesthetic well-being of our patients. Responsibilities: Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding patients, including feeding, monitoring, exercising, and maintaining clean, sanitary kennel facilities.
Assist the veterinary team by observing and reporting patient health, behavior, and comfort.
Perform grooming services such as bathing, haircuts, trimming, de-shedding, and nail care in accordance with clinic and industry standards.
Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming preferences, patient updates, and follow-up care.
Ensure safety, efficiency, and a high level of patient and client satisfaction in all services provided.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Previous experience as a kennel technician in a veterinary or professional animal care setting required.
Licensed/Certified Groomer with demonstrated grooming experience.
Strong animal handling skills and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Compensation: Kennel Technician duties:
$16.50/hour
Grooming services:
Commission-based pay
