Title: Senior Staff Accountant About Us: Southwest Medical Resources was founded in 2004. Since its launch, Southwest has grown into a worldwide independent service organization specializing in MRI, CT, and PET /CT imaging equipment. Our company growth has extended the need for a House manager to assist in the management of our home. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex accounting tasks, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. Senior Staff Account Benefits: (401K) Retirement account, up to 3% matching Phone allowance $50.00 per month Medical, Dental and Vision insurance Optional supplemental insurance Accrued paid time off (PTO) Senior Staff Account Job Responsibilities Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries. Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and oversight on complex accounting issues. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure financial integrity and identify potential areas for improvement. Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes and requirements. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal tax reporting and regulations. Develop and implement robust accounting procedures and processes to enhance operational efficiency. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning and decision-making. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic business decisions. - Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting system. - Coordinate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives. - Lead special projects assigned to support business development and operational improvements. - Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Senior Staff Account Job Requirements Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with budgeting and forecasting Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time-management skills
