GHA Enterprises is a Developer and General Contractor located in the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area) region of Southern California. While our core business is development of new tract housing, we also complete land development, multi-family, commercial, and build-for-rent projects.
The Construction Manager (onsite lead Construction Superintendent) is responsible for supervising all on-site construction, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, options, and building codes.
Responsibilities of the Construction Manager:
- Schedule the work and oversee subcontractors.
- Verify completeness, efficiency, and quality of subcontractor’s work.
- Schedule and complete inspections with local building department inspectors.
- Inspect jobs in process and at completion. Walkthrough every unit, every room, every day.
- Manage GHA Enterprises onsite construction team which, depending on the project size and scope, may consist of assistant superintendents, general laborers, and GHA self-performing trade scopes.
- Review and request modifications to construction drawings when plan errors or conflicts arise.
- Review of subcontractor invoices for completion of work.
- Assist the Project Manager in obtaining building permits.
- Assist the Purchasing Department as may be required with Scopes of Work for subcontracted trades.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy jobsite.
- Ensure the project jobsite is secured daily.
- Collaborate with sales team to create a smooth buying process for homebuyers.
- Conduct walkthrough inspections with homebuyers during various construction stages of the homes, to ensure homebuyer satisfaction and engagement. Manage the customer experience throughout the entire construction process.
- Conduct Home Walkthrough inspections at final turn-over to homebuyers.
- Oversee customer service work on newly completed units.
- Interact with the community Sales personnel to manage community performance and customer activities.
- Participate in subcontractor trade partner recruiting and vetting.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in ability to read blueprints.
- General knowledge of municipal permitting and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience (including scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction)
· A thorough knowledge of all trades.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheet, and scheduling software.
- Physical Requirements: Position involves sitting, standing, driving, and/or movement, the ability to exert a minimal force of up to 50 pounds and occasionally exert up to 80 pounds of minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other means to reach and observe all areas of the building. Ability to work in various weather conditions – heat, rain, cold, etc.
