Description:
As a
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) , you will play a critical role in providing high-quality therapeutic services as part of our team. Your primary responsibilities include facilitating SAIOP (Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program) group sessions and conducting state-compliant DWI (Driving While Impaired) assessments. You will ensure all services are delivered with professionalism, compassion, and in adherence to North Carolin regulations and agency standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAIOP Group Facilitation
Lead and manage structured group therapy sessions, focusing on recovery and relapse prevention strategies. Assist with individualized treatment plans and monitor client progress, and authorization using the new authorization platform JIVA. Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation using the agency's electronic health record (EHR) system. Assist with completion of NC TOPPS screening tools for the state of NC. DWI Assessments
Conduct comprehensive DWI assessments following North Carolina state protocols. Provide recommendations for treatment or eduction based on assessment outcomes. Ensure all required reports and documentation are submitted accurately and on time in the state's E508 system. Client Support and Advocacy
Collaborate with mental health/substance use disorder providers to ensure coordination of care for our clients to support recovery goals. Offer educational resources and support to clients and their families. Core Competencies and Skills
Knowledge of population served and recovery frameworks. Strong group facilitation and therapeutic communication skills. Proficiency in completing detailed assessments and documentation. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Qualifications and Certifications
Active
certification/licensure
as a CADC, LCAS, or equivalent in North Carolina. Certified to conduct DWI assessments in North Carolina. Some experience facilitating groups in a substance use or similar setting preferred. Knowledge of North Carolina state regulations for DWI and substance ause programs. Pay: Negotiable
Hours: Work Monday through Friday and off on weekends.
