The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing, with expertise in low slope and flat roof systems. This role requires a professional with 3 to 15 years of work experience in the field, capable of overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial roofing projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of commercial roofing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor roofing crews, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel to maintain productivity and safety standards. Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment. Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout all phases of roofing projects, ensuring that work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. Resource Management:
Coordinate and manage the allocation of materials, equipment, and labor resources to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Client Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing regular project updates. Technical Expertise:
Apply in-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including low slope and flat roof applications, to solve complex installation and repair challenges. Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records. Scheduling:
Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with other trades and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all project phases. Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively, minimizing delays and maintaining project momentum. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Cost Control:
Monitor project costs, identify potential overruns, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety. Technology Utilization:
Employ project management software and other digital tools to enhance communication, documentation, and overall project efficiency. Qualifications and Requirements
3+ years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on low slope and flat roof systems Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial roofing projects In-depth knowledge of various roofing materials, installation techniques, and repair methods Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices specific to the roofing industry Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed Physical ability to climb ladders, walk on roofs, and work in various weather
