Mount Sinai Health System . This role supports the mission, goals, standards, and policies of BIMC in a patient-centered care delivery system. Responsibilities
Answer patient inquiries. Register patients accurately and promptly based on triage level; input patient information into computer systems; verify referrals and insurance eligibility. Perform discharge procedures: reconcile patient information, schedule referrals, collect co-pays and ED visit fees, and maintain accurate records of transactions. Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to hospital rules and regulatory compliance. Lift and distribute supplies, use personal protective equipment properly. Qualifications
High School Diploma required; college preferred; knowledge of Medical Terminology. 1-2 years experience in medical environment, patient registration, and insurance verification. Experience with EAGLE, HMED, EPMI, Forms on Demand preferred. Computer skills including Word, data entry, and customer service. Bilingual skills a plus.
