We specialize in four trades (mechanical, hygienic piping, HVAC, and electrical, instrumentation and controls), working from multiple locations across North Carolina and for clients across the Southeast. InServ is both a knowledgeable and reliable partner for our clients. We assist with design, adhere to schedules, and execute with the highest quality to provide a total solution. We are currently hiring for pipe welders for our pre-fab shop. You will work in the shop handling prefab for various projects in the surrounding areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF: Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged pipe components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, piping headers, furnace shells, and building and bridge parts, according to blueprints and knowledge of welding and metallurgy Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding Threads pipe of all sizes Sets up equipment and welds parts using SMAW, GMAW, and TIG welding processes May assemble parts by bolting and riveting May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and handtools Must be certified in SMAW, GMAW, and TIG welding processes Tool and Machinery Requirements and Usage: Must possess the minimum tools required for Welders under InServ Policy Must have working knowledge in the use of the following hand and power tools All types of power drills, grinders, and saws Pipe threading equipment of all types and sizes Electric, propane, and diesel powered welding machines Plasma cutting machines All types of hand tools necessary for lifting, positioning, and aligning, such as dollies, skates, chain falls, come-alongs, etc. Qualifications: A

minimum of 2 years

of field experience working as a pipe welder on commercial and/or industrial projects. Must be able to work independently and stay on schedule once given proper direction Communicate and act on information using personal judgment or standards that can be measured or checked Perform work within established InServ quality and time limits or standards of accuracy Perform a variety of duties which may change often Use reason and logic to efficiently accomplish job tasks Perform arithmetical operations rapidly and accurately See detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings; and picture flat drawings as 3-dimensional objects PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: (minimum requirements as follows): Work easily and skillfully with hands Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds See well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors Reach for, handle, and grasp pipe, tubing, and hand tools Bend, crouch, and work in small places Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
