Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Gerber Cutter/Router Operator to support our fabric cutting and production operations. The operator will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Gerber automated cutting equipment to cut fabrics, textiles, and related materials according to production specifications. This role ensures precision, quality, and efficiency while maintaining safety and workflow standards. Key Responsibilities: Setup, program, and operate Gerber CNC cutting/router machines for fabric and textile materials.

Interpret work orders, CAD patterns, and technical drawings to ensure accurate cutting layouts.

Load and secure fabric rolls or sheets on the cutting table.

Monitor cutting process to ensure accuracy, quality, and minimal material waste.

Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning to ensure equipment runs efficiently.

Inspect finished pieces for defects, measurements, and alignment with specifications.

Maintain production logs, records of materials used, and output quantities.

Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to meet deadlines and resolve issues.

Requirements Requirements

Math & Technical Skills:

Ability to apply

basic arithmetic

(addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in daily tasks.

Strong skills in working with

fractions, decimals, and percentages .

Competence in

geometry

for understanding patterns, angles, and shapes.

Skilled in

measurement conversions

(metric and imperial units).

Ability to calculate

material yields, tolerances, and fabric usage

for efficiency.

Spatial reasoning to

nest patterns and minimize waste .

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).

Previous experience operating Gerber or similar CNC cutting/router machines preferred.

Knowledge of fabric/textile handling and cutting processes.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Ability to stand, bend, and lift fabric rolls/materials as required (up to 50 lbs)
