  • Specialty: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiovascular Surgery
  • Call Coverage Only: No clinic or office hours
  • Call Type: Beeper call (30-minute response time required)
  • Dates Needed: October 17-27 (7a-7a)
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Patients per Shift: 3-5
  • Beds in Facility: 12
  • Assigned Rounding Patients: Yes
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Daily inpatient rounding (2-3 hours/day) on post-op CV surgery patients
  • First assist in scheduled and emergency CV surgical procedures
  • Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) required - Terumo EVH system used
  • RNFA preferred
  • Must have prior surgical experience
Requirements
  • License: Active Alabama license or Compact license - REQUIRED
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS - REQUIRED
  • Experience: Must have surgical experience; RNFA preferred
  • EVH Skill: Required (Terumo system)
