We areseeking a Locums Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join a busy practice in Waterford, Connecticut. This role will focus onmanaging an existing patient base while a provider is on FMLA. The idealcandidate will have experience in both benign hematology and oncology, with theability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinaryteam.
Compensation: $100 Per Hour
PositionDetails:
- Setting: Primarily outpatient, with the potential for some inpatient work depending on provider experience and preference
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (negotiable)
- On-Call: Every 3rd weekend and 1 weekday per week (ideally for MD coverage)
- Patient Care Focus:
- Manage follow-up oncology visits
- Perform chemotherapy education for patients
- Serve as a clinical resource for urgent needs within the onsite infusion center
- Bone marrow biopsies performed in-office
Requirements:
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Experience in hematology/oncology strongly preferred
- DEA license
