Cardiovascular Surgery PA/APRN Opening in Georgia Location: Columbus, GA Nearby Cities: Auburn, AL 35 m, Montgomery, AL 80 m, Atlanta 100 m Type: Full-Time, Permanent Setting: Hospital-Employed, Outpatient + Inpatient with OR Assist Seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join its Cardiovascular Surgery team in Columbus, Georgia. This position offers the opportunity to provide outpatient, inpatient, and surgical support within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Position Highlights:Provide comprehensive support to cardiovascular surgeons Conduct pre- and post-operative assessments in clinic and hospital settings Perform hospital rounds and consultations Assist in surgical procedures as First Assist (if credentialed/trained) Coordinate patient care plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Document encounters and maintain accurate medical records Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-operative care Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings Candidate Requirements:Current licensure as PA or APRN in Georgia Certification by NCCPA (for PAs) or national certification in a relevant APRN specialty (cardiology preferred) BLS & ACLS required Experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery preferred First Assist certification or willingness to obtain preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package CME allowance Paid malpractice coverage Relocation assistance (if applicable) Retirement plan options PTO and holiday leave About the Area:Columbus, GA is the second-largest city in Georgia, located along the Chattahoochee River and just 90 minutes southwest of Atlanta.
