Locums CV Surgery NP/PA Clinic + Call Hershey, PA Why This Role
- Full-time locums role in a high-acuity academic medical center
- Balanced duties: OR first assist, EVH, ICU floor, and call coverage
- Collaborative practice environment with experienced APP team Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: December 31, 2025
- Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
- Schedule: 36-40 hours per week (typically three 12-hour shifts)
- Weekday shifts: 6:00am-6:00pm in-house
- Call: Beeper call, 1 in 6 rotation (nights and weekends)
- Night call: 6:00pm-6:30am
- Weekend call: Friday 6:00pm - Monday 6:30am (from home)
- Setting: Inpatient, mostly OR with some ICU floor time
- EMR: Cerner
- Privileges: Required (no IMLC accepted)
- Estimated Credentialing: 60-120 days
- Patient Load: 3-4 per shift
- Trauma Level: I
- Support Staff: 8 APPs, 3 office staff, 1 MA Requirements
- Board Certified (NP or PA)
- Active Pennsylvania license
- ACLS, BLS
- 2+ years of recent hospital CV surgery experience
- EVH and first assist required
- Clean file for privileging Clinical Details
- OR first assist, including vein harvest (EVH)
- ICU and floor coverage (assigned patients)
- Call coverage nights and weekends
- Procedures include spinals, central lines, intubation, conscious sedation, TIVA, and general anesthesia support as appropriate
- Marquet equipment used Compensation
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
