Overview

vivo Europe Marketing is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Social Media Manager to lead the pan-European social media strategy for vivo. This role is responsible for setting phased KPIs across markets, driving campaign performance, and ensuring effective collaboration between central resources and local market teams. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing brand social accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, with a strong track record in delivering high-impact campaigns tied to product launches.

Responsibilities

Develop a pan-European social media strategy for vivo Europe. Define phased KPIs for all brand social accounts across markets. Leverage pan-European and local market resources to achieve these KPIs. Lead regular performance monitoring and reviews. Utilize vivo product launches to drive pan-European pilot social projects and achieve campaign communication KPIs. Influence and support local market teams by strengthening their social media knowledge and operational execution. Lead the single, brand-level presence for vivo on Reddit (not market-specific): set content and engagement strategy, run the editorial calendar, moderate discussions, coordinate AMAs, manage response protocols, ensure brand safety, and align with local market teams for cross-posting when relevant. Identify and convene vivos core users from each market into one pan-European community. Plan and execute engagement moments and fan events tied to key launches (e.g., X300 series), including participant recruitment, logistics, budgets, vendor management, and post-event reporting. Establish recurring meetings/workshops between Product Managers and vivo fans. Define objectives and agendas, select participants, manage consent and data handling, capture insights, translate feedback into actionable briefs for Product/Marketing, and track follow-through to closure.

ExperienceRequirements

8+ years of digital or social operations experience in the European market. Proven experience managing brand social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok). Fluent in spoken and written English. Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a plus.

PreferredExperience

Proven track record of building regional social campaigns for major product launches (especially across multiple European markets). Familiarity with social commerce and live-streaming strategies to drive direct consumer engagement. Proficiency in additional European languages. Experience working with influencers, creators, and KOLs in European markets. Prior work in the smartphone industry where storytelling and product differentiation are key.
